A friend of mine donated a wheelchair when I was recovering from a surgery (I've had a few) and I asked him where he got it.

He told me a story that I didn't believe, so a few months later when we were moving duty stations I had him show me his medical record.

According to his papers, it was true. He lost his right testicle when a truck full of pomegranates got hit by a VBIED at a vehicle checkpoint and he took a pomegranate pit fragment to the crotch.
