i've been updating software on my G5 tower and calibrating the battery on my key lime 466 and thinking about doing similarly on my titanium 400 because i don't need a reason
on second thought, there's a reason why i retired my titanium G4/400 in 2016, which not only has the original battery and the original 4200rpm hard drive, but also ran 10.5.8, out of spec, for the last 7 years it was a file server (apple discouraged running leopard on anything slower than 867, but it did just fine)
incidentally, i still have two hardware upgrades planned for the key lime 466: one is a LCD upgrade to 1024x768. i have the part for this now (even if it means gutting another computer). the other is bumping up to a pata ssd. then, aside from doing risky stuff like overclocking, my work will be finally done at last, all these years later
@slimekat it's not a need, just a frivolity, really. the 100GB spinning rust i have in it still works fine, just slow
