Ugh why are bodies even Afficher plus

I have a favorite spot in this cafe and when somebody else is sitting there I end up out-of-sorts.

I am very cat today.

I am very carefully not giving that person the stinkeye even though they are IN MY SPOT.

I'm on my fifth costume change of the day. Though maybe I shouldn't count that I got two minutes in my sweats before I found I had to go back out again.

ok I love jokes but wrt the @creatrixtiara post I just boosted:

When a PoC says something #onhere, we neeeeeeeed to be listening, we need to amplify and give platforms, we need to not minimize.

Mastodon has a whiteness problem and it cannot be solved unless we acknowledge that white supremacy lives in furry queers as well as techbros

way back when I took that watercolor class we did gesture drawings with watercolor. That was *fun*. Maybe I can take a figure-drawing-with-watercolor class...

okay, maybe 'til I figure out how to make the nsfw tag and images do what I expect them to do, I'll post the figure drawings unlisted...

I'd like to say that I really appreciate that the "write something" prompt on a.weirder.earth is "Remember: people never forget how you made them feel."

There is a lot to be said for the efficacy of social affordances in preventing problems.

Second call for anyone interested in taking over the domains witch.technology or grimoire.network for masto instances or other uses, I have it and have decide whether to renew soon

What I have learned:

- DMs between Mastodon users are not visible to people outside of Mastodon even if someone on GNU Social or anything else is following both people.
- Unlisted posts don't federate at all, and so are not visible to people on GNU Social or anything else.
- DMs are visible to admins of both the sending and receiving instance, unencrypted.
- A DM sent to a non-Mastodon instance is received as a public post, and there's a disclaimer that warns you of that before sending.

maybe every time I get the urge to write code, I'll go draw instead.

@sev for direct and private the boost icon should appear as an envelope and a padlock respectively, but there's no way to tell between public and unlisted

Or I guess I can keep posting, second-guessing whether I remembered to set privacy, deleting, re-posting, forgetting to fill in the CW, delete again, post a third time ....

so is there some way to see what privacy options were chosen for a toot? Even for my very own toot? I feel like I'm missing something.
