@memnus I think the way people gain those skills is putting themselves into situations where they're forced to develop them...

lunchtime hug-break: highly recommended, would snuggle again

@memnus I finish at 11:30 this time.

tomorrow's calendar has therapy, comic book store, and circus, and while these are all important to me none of them involve cuddles and I'm rather disappointed in myself for that.

I want more of the kind of intimate one-on-one connection that I associate with summer vacation afternoons. No responsibilities, no schedule, just endless hours of sunshine and whispers and smiles and love.

@starkatt also why yesterday was a Tall Socks day!

it's that time of year where my boots are getting taller but my skirts aren't getting much longer yet.

@rey are you ... intentionally earworming us with Simon & Garfunkel? I thought not, but then the Bon Jovi reference in the next toot and suddenly you look suspiciously in flagrente earworm.

anyway, the brain radio has been switching back and forth all day and I credit *you* for "you're shaking my confidence, baby" even if you didn't mean to.

@cyndisision @memnus my multiple-visits-to-MAC got me multiple colors, too. I think there's competing wisdom about matching existing tone vs. going lighter or more-neutral? And we're probably different shades at different times of the year, and I know I'm super-red if I've been exerting, & stuff like that.

For awhile I maintained two shades of powder -- I used the lighter one when I was going for high contrast and drama, and the better match for everyday.

this has been a good week for me being seen & understood & appreciated. *happy glow*

@KoBunny my kitties are definitely prone to "eeeek, too much love! run and hide!"

but how am I supposed to get up when there are *two* kitties draped over me?

they never do this. Okay, this is the second time this year. Almost never.

and I'm cheerful that this is distracting me from the likelihood that I also need a new phone (sigh)

I have a new camera!

I have emptied my old camera bag and found: 15 rolls of unshot film, assorted batteries, a teaspoon of miscellaneous dirt, a ticket stub from burning man 2001, 2 tripod quick-release mounts, two filthy lenses (and one film camera).
