way back when I took that watercolor class we did gesture drawings with watercolor. That was *fun*. Maybe I can take a figure-drawing-with-watercolor class...

Some people find watercolor frustrating because it's hard to control ... gesture drawing doesn't leave me time to find control, so for me the combination is a good fit. People who find precision comes immediately/easily would probably feel differently.
