@Eve (I need to check refs from my bookmarks so I'll answer you as soon as I turn on my laptop)
@Eve So I've always be attracted to tarot but I still don't know much about it : I learned a tiny bit on the Labyrinthos Academy and Golden Thread apps but that's it.
I do have a deck tho, The Raven's Prophecy by an artist and author that I like very much, the cards really caught my eyes in a way even the Wild Unknown deck (which is gorgeous) didn't. There's a booklet with it that I need to read.
Though I like The Wild Unknown (and there was another one is a similar spirit) 's art and the fact that there are no people in it (people decks feel unconfortable to me) the animals would probably confuse me a lot since I already associate things with them. (1/X)
@Eve I also have a soft spot for the Plant Tarot that I think I'll eventually buy someday which I found on this article someone posted the link here (https://www.autostraddle.com/fools-journey-10-people-free-tarot-decks-for-your-collection-343301/) (the Minimal one had my heart too but it's out of stock :()
The tarot tag of this site and the personal website of the author seem like very interesting and useful ressources to learn from so I'll try to check them out.
@sempervirenx I just looked thru this very cool link and also the other queer peopled decks linked there. Some of these are really really nice. I think picking a deck probably depends on what speaks to you, the purpose of your use, and how you open to these things in addition to considerations like coherence... probably it's hard to settle on a single one for all needs, or at least I'm finding it to be so.
@sempervirenx yes I found this too: some of the animal images felt really right and some felt really off or just irrelevant to the concept
I haven't seen the Raven Prophecy but I'll have a look 🦅💜🦅
@sempervirenx looking forward ❤
