@Anke Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you went through this, that sucks immensely. I totally understand your reluctance after that... It is difficult for me to wear skirts and dresses outside as well, because of the gender thing but also because it makes me feel immediately more exposed and vulnerable. I don't remember being bullied that way though.
