@TQ Hoffentlich dauert das noch. Wenn ich selbst da lese ist mir das alles zu viel und verwirrend, aber ich freu mich immer über Star Trek Humor in meiner TL.

@punsandpotions Saw you talking about ManicPanic hair color and thought "yes, I should follow this person" 😂

@hellgy You fooled me :D

I would offer to help you find everything but I just joined two days ago. So I'm also still very new and trying to find stuff ☺

@reignbough Fascist ideology is always inherently violent towards people other then them. So in my opinion punching a fascist is always in defense of yourself or others.

@hellgy Welcome!

Yeay, more people with sweet colorful hair and also very awesome lipstick 🌈

@indigo6 Wow, that shows some dedication. Did you stay up just to join this instance?

Anyway, welcome here & sleep well.

@saskeah So we're just a bunch of former Slytherins :D Sounds about right.

Puppies and robots sounds awesome! 😍 Critical animal studies is such an interesting field and I love how much it challenges existing perceptions. I have been a vegetarian for a long time ... trying to be a vegan for now, which for a variety of reasons is not always possible. Still, it's infuriating how little thought is given to animals and the enviroment at times.

@saskeah Of course I'm also curious what your PhD is in? I'm just not used to having so much space to write :)

I always think rollerderby looks really awesome. Like I'm all in for the style but I'm just not a sporty person.

@saskeah I used to be a reluctant Ravenclaw. Pottermore sorting was a real shock for me since I always believed myself to be a Slytherin. But then it actually made sense. Hufflepuffs are also pretty badass. I mean, who doesn't adore Tonks and I'm sure she would approve of your hair :D

I actually studied something called American Studies. But I guess my research focus is mostly literary studies with a lot of gender studies mixed in there.

Welcome to mastodon. Here's your courses on French and Japanese, a "THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS" bumpersticker, and a fresh pineapple for some reason.

@gzt I feel like this is the one thing we all have in common. No matter your specialty you probably should be writing

... instead of trying out new social media sites :D

It feels weird using hashtags again so people with similar interests can find you. I hope the hashtags will soon be filled with some toots.

Hey everyone!
I'm a phd student from germany spending most of my time in front of a screen watching netflix or playing games instead of writing 😅 I also love (mostly & ) and all that it contains (like , , , etc.).

I'm a Ravenclaw, a feminist and dye my hair in rainbow colors. The only sport I'm interested in is

@TQ But is this a bad thing? I'm more skeptical to having one job all my life and being unable to change (and grow as a person) than changing jobs a lot to fit my needs. This might be naiveté though as I'm still at the university.

Something I especially like here (in contrast to the birdside) are the Content Warnings since they works for potentially harmful content as well as spoilers for TV Shows and stuff. So that's nice.

@trulla Das taucht aber auch auf der lokalen Timeline dann auf. Bin auch gespannt wie sich das unterscheidet, da ich ja doch auf 'ner kleineren Instanz bin. Will mich da ausführlich austauschen.
Und klar, dachte mir, dass du diese Woche erstmal nicht so viel Zeit hast :)
