Oh I limit follows which means I have to approve you and I probably will but you can toot @ me and that'll make it easier for me to know.

LB (last boost, for the new): We have witches and commies and furries and trans folks and it's GREAT. It's super great here. (it's not perfect but it's great)

#Mastodon vetrans, it is your responsibility to take these newcomers and teach them the sacred ways of the herd.

They must know of the 🅱️ , and the oats, and the yams, and how to spell gameing. The awoos and the toots and the rotating coyotes, eternally spinning. Someone must teach them of Gargamel :gargamel: and what we do in this house. They must be introduced to the witches and the commies and the furries and the trans folks.

Let the people share our rich heritage!

OMG Twitter friends are trying le Mastodon again/for the first time! A note/recommendation... as a rule, the big sites like mastodon.social are OK but you may want to try some smaller places and also follow stuff on your INSTANCE level (vs. the whole Fediverse). I'm on witches.town. I really like the toot.cat space/admin. If you're down with furries, awoo.space is pretty rad. cybre.space for you techier types, I've seen SUCH a better tech culture on there... So those are a few. And remember how we're down w/paying for better Twitter? Tip your admins! <3

new folks:

please remember to make heavy use of CWs

they are there because they are useful to reduce harm for folks

instead of being forced to read a post in order to determine if they want to interact with its contents or not (which is not a choice), you can know what the post is about and choose whether it's worth engaging that or not

There are enough people, someone pay me to become an organizer.

It was really good to do conferencing and I am so glad to be home and also glad that it's almost the weekend. After the conference next week I'm going to have SO much on my plate for work, for service, etc.... but it's good stuff I want to be doing? Though tbh after the forum a part of me just wants my job to be organizing labor concerns in libraries.
