Big big decision I'm wrestling with right now is how to handle moving and loading. There's U-Pack, which drives the truck for you. That's nice? Otoh there's the option of hiring packers and driving a U-Haul with my sister. Well, alternating with car/dog. Or...hire U-Pack, hire loaders & unloaders... advantage here is U-Pack comparatively short driving time. But then U-Haul gets you there RIGHT AWAY.

It's pretty funny, I'm downsizing stuff again toward this next move. We will lose two bookcases. However! We already don't have enough stuff to fill this place. And we will have less. And likely as much space. That's not all bad tbh. And I did acquire the treadle machine and worktable here. What I DO want to get in our next place is a tall standing table for cutting fabric. That and a quilting frame are my two desires.

Last night I could not sleep for all the fireworks. Did a shot of whiskey around 2, which was AWFUL despite being a good whiskey...it's terrible when medicinal. Cross fingers that taking some more serious medication will sort that out tonight. It was just so so miserable. I have rarely had such bad nights.

So like gonna offer an informed Mennonite opinion that unless someone has info otherwise, reasonable to assume Amish & Fursuiter pic is probably Amish. I've seen weird arguments like "no, Mennonite" or whatever because a girl had a purse but rules about dress are so community-based that it's impossible to know unless you KNOW.

Listening to Barbara Ehrenreich's Bait & Switch abt white collar workers and unemployment. This seems more her area than Nickel & Dimed. I would say her underlying theme through these and Bright-sided is that capitalism is extraordinarily destructive at every level and blames individuals for it. She doesn't make it as explicit as she should sometimes. It ties together a lot of experiential pain.
