@auntiekiki he may need to be convinced even to go out which is also frustrating.

@auntiekiki lying here wondering if the dog will do more than pee and how much I should layer

@dog @961 this is so wonderful!! Also, seeing it, I think I’d know it was you!

@BethB @Sheinicorn hey yeah. I would recommend the new book From Here to Eternity about burial customs but there’s also a 💯bibliography on the Order of the Good Death’s site. orderofthegooddeath.com/resour if you’re already an order affiliate I probably can’t recc much beyond its stuff.

@Sparrow oh gosh. Sounds like you needed it. Just been crafting and trying to enjoy the day off.

@modernmodron omg I’m kind of obsessed with her right now and I love this

@InspectorCaracal goodness same. I'm actually writing something about it right now for a zine I'm contributing to.

Spent a little time today putting together a space for my first zine (a sewing pattern) and a cross-stitch pattern I made on my website: ruthtillman.com/patterns-zines

They're all unrestricted to share & enjoy! (but please don't charge for distribution beyond what it might cost you to put things together)

The question is, will we do this manually since Robots doesn't allow wildcarding/regex rules or perhaps create a directory called "files" where we disallow indexing (yeah probably).

Let's grab the tiny, friendly gif of Garak doing jazz hands for the index.html page of the files directory.

We'll write the CSS in the header. Let's use tracking code from statcounter only, not Google, and put it in the footer. Let's throw a robots into the directory that only indexes the *.html pages and not the *.pdfs etc.

Handcoding some HTML today and gods it feels good. Not quite but almost like crafting by hand. The tools we have are amazing but proximity to a thing... whether it’s code or cutting vegetables can be so good.

@distelfliege @auntiekiki it is much easier to get on a dog than I imagine it would be on a cat. Well, on my dog. Among other things, mine is extremely clingy, so it's easy to manipulate him.

@auntiekiki @distelfliege we have a thundershirt for him and it helped a bit when he dealt with thunder on the plains but it mostly just slightly lowers how badly he vibrates.

@distelfliege thank you. I find them exhausting, but my dog is so distressed by them that it severely raises my stress.

Our poor dog must be feeling as dry as my skin does... he's been harassing us for skritches all day. 😕

@distelfliege many many more than I like. Where I last lived they were totally legal and it was absolutely awful. I think they're less so here but I guess I'll find out?
