You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.

@webinista @alice I do have one for walking my dog! So now that I think about it... what I need is something like that but for holding my phone while I do stuff like sewing if I have no pockets. I made a case which holds it on my wrist for travel, etc., but not for things like sewing or washing dishes.

@webinista @alice I do not (yet) but there are other things where I've had a moment of "I'm just going to embrace that I'm doing this"

LBs: Recently was reminded of the Lois McMaster Bujold quote from Memory "When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action. When you desire a consequence you had damned well better take the action that would create it."

(this was in a narrative context, so its strong imperative works there. But even if we'd not "damned well"...when we can take an action toward the consequences we want, like normalizing stories about worlds we want to see... that's good shit to do)
