OMG Twitter friends are trying le Mastodon again/for the first time! A note/recommendation... as a rule, the big sites like mastodon.social are OK but you may want to try some smaller places and also follow stuff on your INSTANCE level (vs. the whole Fediverse). I'm on witches.town. I really like the toot.cat space/admin. If you're down with furries, awoo.space is pretty rad. cybre.space for you techier types, I've seen SUCH a better tech culture on there... - There are apps! I use Amaroq on my phone. I haven't been on here as much because oh god conference season.
- DMs are basically private posts you can tag a bunch of friends in I'm saying we can do specific locked Twitter on here.
- You can join a couple instances and decide to stick with the one you like best. You have no idea how far I'm federated. But Witches is my hometown.
