Is there a good gender-neutral way to say "sorcières"? Don't care so much about the cis dudes here (feminine default is turnabout/fair play there) but for the trans dudes and nb folks definitely don't want to force them to deal with the feminine default.
The word itself is masculin ("un mage") but you can point it to all gender people : « une femme mage » or « un homme mage ».
"mage" has the same roots as "magic", btw.
(I have to say though that even if this word is real and even appears in, let’s say, the Harry Potter novels, its true definition is more religious/historic than a real synonym of "sorcière/sorcier", but it remains usable in a sence that everyone will understand you).
