And I'm really not doing with transhumanism, tbh, as "solution" for disabilities. Disability rights first. Adaptive devices right alongside but as desired. Medical interventions as desired.
But I have blind friends who don't want to see, Deaf friends who know they're perfectly ok, friends who stopped using prostheses... and then let's not even get into all us neirodivergents who've seen the legacies of trying to "fix" our kinds.
And I'm also here for friends with cochlear implants, who want experimental vision, etc.
How tf did I misspell neurodivergents?
What I do want prioritized is assistance for all my friends with pain disorders because there is a huge diff between being disabled and in daily pain (and one can be both) and that shit needs attention. And non-shaming societal norms. But like how to my bestie's fingers just swell up like that and lock?
I want her to be able to pick up her baby without fighting through pain for it.
@ruth Yeah, like, if that whole thing eventually happens it's probably going to be really great... for the 1% it will be available to.
I do enjoy playing games like Eclipse Phase tho.
