@davidsgallant if you are going to be that generally you'd be better off just saying "be considerate, cw stuff that might upset people", using a term like politics which is understood in wildly different ways is recipe for confusion, and people arguing about what is political, rather than the stuff that actually needs a content warning getting it
@davidsgallant i'm not arguing against cw's i'm saying if you want people to use cw's then say what you want them for, not something so vague and wildly misused as politics.
like at first i was like do they mean parliamentary stuff? things about mps and presidents?
@davidsgallant there is the genuine issue of what is politics though, especially since the right are yelling keep politics out of x all the time. i had this discussion before, and came to the conclusion that people meant news, esp depressing or upsetting news, and i think asking people to put upsetting news behind a cw is more helpful as its clear what is actual meant
