I've been thinking about how several thoughtpieces are fond of linking the rise of fascists/demagogues in democratic states to the failure of neoliberalism, or at least the perceived failure of it, and I'm like, I don't know you guys.

It seems awfully convenient that neoliberalism's vocal critics found this explanation, and have shut the door on other possibilities. What if it isn't that much of a shut case
