@candle I'm a big fan of Adafruit's Circuit Playground - the original is C/Arduino based and the newer Express version has the option to do micropython if that's more your thing https://www.adafruit.com/product/3000 https://www.adafruit.com/product/3333 -- lots of sensors/buttons/LEDs and stuff to play with. And you can also get a breadboard to go along with that and wire up your own buttons etc.
