I know it's hard to hear, but you have to realize why racism is still such a force in the States. No, it's not a handful of crazies that keep it alive.

It's everyday white people that see this egregious behavior in their spaces and do nothing. Every 'joke' they let slide, every 'harmless' comment from a family member, etc...

If racists are a 'minority' in America, then why do white people allow them to have the loudest voice for their culture?

This is a feature suggestion! Maybe not a good idea. The illustrations depict how it would work but may not represent how it would be implemented.

Treat content warning as "tags" like on imageboards, and have short descriptions so people know what the toot is about.

There would be a set of default tags on all instances installations, but an instance could add its own descriptions for some tags that would display when hovered over. If a user uses an undefined tag, it would just not have a desc.

The puff piece published to 'understand' Nazis is indicative of the overall pervasiveness of white people to embrace hatred in one form or another.

Hate is the primary characteristic of white American culture. It is how they define themselves.

That is how you know racism is intentional. White people will exert enormous effort justifying the irrational and violent, but deny the obviousness of its effects.

Racism is still here b/c white people love to hate.

Racism isn't based on ignorance or lack of knowledge. White people make the choice to embrace racism every day.

The piece is bad enough, but there is a culture that allows thoughts like this to be viewed as 'legitimate' and even 'noble'.

White people, whether conservative or liberal, have created a culture that sustains racism.

That's why racism still thrives in the 21st century.

So, I get up and go about my morning news rounds when I see another high profile piece talking about Nazi's as 'normal' people.

Look, I'm going to be very clear about this.

If you're ever wondering something as vile as Nazism took place, just look at white America right now.

They will go out of their way to deny racism, but bend over backwards to justify the unjustifiable.
