when someone tells you they might be trans, or that they want to try out different pronouns or a different name, the only thing anyone should be doing (especially cis people) is being supportive

it can be very, very difficult to accept something is off with your gender, but it can be extremely rewarding. and having someone list off the risks/problems with it right off the bat isn't concern for one's safety, it's bigotry.
