is it true that north American resumes include a summary and highlights at the top? pls help me
@punsandpotions (looks at my own resume) uh..., there is a section at the top that says "objective" which usually means "give us a short summary of what you want to accomplish"
maybe you're thinking of a cover letter?

@DragonMagic that's so strange! cover letters aren't like, super long here but they're way more ... uh ... interactive than resumes? resumes are just like "yeah I've done this." and then cover letter is like "hello there, you sexy business. I'm super perfect for this position bc I rule, also let me grovel for a bit, also please please hire me I need this thx"
@punsandpotions huh interesting... although, all the jobs I've applied for so far have been entry level retail positions, where the use of resume/cover letters is less common
@DragonMagic that's fair enough .. same here, really - I haven't done much applying other than waitressing so far and now I'm applying for a social work internship in vancouver so. im completely out of my depth. im defnitely going to go talk to my study advisors too though. thanks for helping :D
