@nergdron i don't know what node is but "you just have to..." sounds annoying !! how about "you just have to respect people's choices and not push stuff on them"
sorry love xoxo
@nergdron uhhhh annoying. like do ur weird thing if u have to but leave Tessa alone >:(
@punsandpotions haha EXACTLY. and he just stands over my shoulder and tells me commands to type and is just super aggressively micromanage-y. so on edge now, over nothing. blech. men.
@nergdron men suck ): I'm gonna come over and fight him (ง'̀-'́)ง
he knows nothing and is not worth your time. just remember he's living a sad unknowledgeable life and you have many girlfriends and are super cool ✨✨✨✨✨✨
@punsandpotions this is true! i have so many amazing, beautiful ladies in my life! 💖 😄 💖
@nergdron and they all love you cause you don't suck and tell ppl dumb stuff!!! 💜💜💜
@punsandpotions ahahahahahah I appreciate your enthusiasm. but I assure you, I tell people dumb things all the time. I just own up to my own mistakes a lot quicker. 😉
@nergdron hmmmm no you only say good things and are always right! 😁😁😁😁
@punsandpotions haha well I appreciate your support. ❤
@nergdron @punsandpotions eugh that sounds terrible
@nergdron @punsandpotions Ouch, yeah. I've been working in Meteor, which compiles into Node. It's pretty easy to work with, but I do keep having to worry about my design decisions.
@Angle yeah! like, you can write good code in any language. but you can also write bad code in any language. it's sorta what the job is, to write good code and not bad code. and my boss seems to just write bad code. 😉
@nergdron mm. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who's a really good programmer. My code was a lot worse before he went through it... XD
@Angle I definitely have learned tons from better programmers than me. one of the best things I ever did back in the day was tear into the Quake 2 source when it was first released.... learning how that work, like, taught me proper C program structure. Carmack is a great dev, and his codebase was so clean and efficient, learning it made me a way better coder.
@punsandpotions node is a platform for running javascript code on a server. it's not bad, but it does have deficiencies. I was editing a codebase he created, and basically every time he said "you just have to...", whatever followed it was some bad design he'd done in the code that barely worked.
