Probably not a popular opinion but I still prefer the original Harley Quinn look over whatever it is they put her in now days. You don't have to bare your skin to be attractive.

(Though I will admit, that tight spandex was already pretty showy)

- A History of Zionism: From the French Revolution to the Establishment of the State of Israel by Walter Laqueur

I have good hopes for this one because Laqueur is a renowned historian and of the book's historical narrative approach leading from the ideological views of the French Revolution into the modern era. It covers the various sides, aspects and groups involved with Zionism and their different clashing motives as well as the start of the unfortunate war with the Arabs.

This might be the book you're looking for.

- Enemies and Neighbors: Arabs and Jews in Palestine and Israel, 1917-2017 by Ian Black

- The Making of Modern Israel: 1948-1967 by Leslie Stein

- A Safe Haven: Harry S. Truman and the Founding of Israel by Ronald Radosh
