2007: don't tell online strangers your name!

2017: Literally summon online strangers to your house so you can get into their car.

@ebeth I feel that it can vary a lot - while some of my friends weren't interested others loved the idea of the smaller instances forming sort of a closer community. There seems to be a growing interest in that.
