@raindare I had a gentle cat that would never claw a person. One time she slipped off a table and grabbed onto an arm by instinct, badly scratching it as she fell.

Immediately after reaching the floor she rushed to the opposite side of the house and sat down facing a wall corner for a long time, not reacting to her name.

It was the first time I saw a cat displaying shame.
