Re. that harassment toot from Ginny, consider that it's not just having to watch someone else, a stranger, saying those things about you. It's also everything that comes after. People making excuses. People trying to justify themselves. Whole conversations revolving around you and whether you do or don't deserve to be called those things, as if you're an object on display and not a person with feelings. These 'little' moments of abuse stay with you for weeks, months, more.
