also on the chopped version, they left mentioned "Frozen Faces" as appearing, but it was removed entirely — thus unknown to anyone only familiar with the original or reissue US CDs. and on the chopped, Jewel is halved in length, missing its lyrics on the chopped. with exception to The Chase and Sorry for Laughing and The Murder of Love, every other track on the chopped edition was edited or remixed in a different way

@hypatian i'm not sure what other things you like, but if you ever liked the art of noise or frankie goes to hollywood, then this makes up the third leg of the original ZTT Records repertoire — and arguably the finest of the three

@hypatian if you already liked Propaganda, i think you will find the money you spent to be the best-spent money you've spent in a good long while — if for nothing else, than for those nine tracks. or else i will buy you a round of lagavulin 16yr single malt (if you drink) :)

but in all seriousness, even disc two is amazing in all the long-missing & even unknown song variations which reappeared on there. it was like opening a birthday gift! one could, if they wanted, now make a “12'' singles album” w/ all album remix tracks (sans "Dream within a Dream", whose only two variations are between the german 'digital' CD version and the chopped 'analogue' version)

try not to pay much mind to my long, 660+ char jinxes. i'm struggling with my own guilt

at the moment, my place is a mess. if my roommate came home at this hour (which does happen far more often than one might assume), she would probably have a conniption

at this hour, i have the sanding/stain-refinishing of my kitchen table going on in the kitchen, newspapers laid down over the floor. the washroom has, well, hair products scattered about [sshhh!]. my bedroom has a load of laundry i must wash at a laundromat today. the sitting room has bags of stuff i plan to donate, recycle, or toss out before moving. i'm sure the basement unit hates me to death

but this is being productive & i am labouring, yes? and is it "ok" labour?

these next 24h are what i'll attempt to use to hard-set my sleep schedule to a diurnal/crepuscular one for the first time in months. it is likely not to succeed, but i've got to try

i'm being productive, but i'm also wrestling with the guilt that the things i'm being productive with aren't necessarily the things i feel like i *should* be doing. and yet, i don't really have any one "necessity task" to deal with at this moment

i think this goes back to my conditioning around labour and capital: that one's labour is "good" if it is in the service of working for someone else (or finding work to serve them). other, personal labour is "bad"

i confess it is a bit surreal to be having real-time back and forth with chelsea. this may take a long while for the surreality and novelty to subside
