@alys it's an insomnia induced by medications i started in april which have completely inverted my circadian rhythm for weeks, making it hard for me to wake up early in the day or function just fine all day, with a reasonable bedtime of, say, 1a or so

instead, i get this

on the vaporwave station, whilst sleeping, i heard a track which used Microdisney's "Give Me All Your Clothes" as its (very slowed down) source, and i must say i was truly impressed — mostly because i'm a Microdisney fan

unfortunately, all i could grab was the song's generic title "Jaguar" :(

during that sleep, i had a long, vivid dream which nearly defies words to describe it

(ever since starting these meds in april, once i actually do get to sleep after i become too exhausted to be kept awake by the restless leg side effects, the dreams i have end up being long-form, highly visual, and at times almost lucid in their clarity and tangibility. it's almost as if there's a story being told and i'm tasked with role-playing through it)

i went to bed last night at about 4:30. i couldn't sleep

then it got light out. i definitely couldn't sleep

then, defying my soon-to-be-ex-LL, i started apartment's aircon, which officially "doesn't exist". i still couldn't sleep

my tummy was unsettled because of medications, so i ate a simple sandwich. i still couldn't sleep

i put on a vaporwave station. i started to get drowsy, but still couldn't sleep

sometime shortly before or after the noon hour, i fell asleep

at midnight, i awoke

my brain and body are terrible and i want to make an exchange

no but really i'm consigned to being single for the rest of my life but it's not something i want. but let's be really real here: no one out there would want to be with me. i'm too damaged and spindled and broken and past the sell-by date and no one wants that right

@nex3 i'm appalled they've ranked tater tots anywhere in the top ten and ranked waffle fries #1. what even. this american list

after i moved to canada, i was glad to learn tater tots are virtually unknown (those and crinkle cut is mostly what i had growing up)

also, since they're listing prepared fries (like with cheese or chili), poutine would have to be on there if one is to make a legitimate list

(my fave: belgian fries, fried to a crisp, at the Elysian)
