current-day employers, alas, wouldn't be able to look beyond my trauma and extraordinary mistrust i have for workplace environments like theirs. they wouldn't understand how i need them to earn my trust. they'd just see an old trans woman. it's a shame cos at heart i was a fracking workaholic for the longest time & far was happier, in the zone, at a workplace than not
