this morning has been an emotional bumper car ride

@patience i haven't even thought about bumper cars in years, what a bizarre concept

in ventura there's a place with bumper boats, which seems to make more sense, since there's arguably an objective (trying to stay dry while getting other people wet)

so uh running with that metaphor, i hope you stay dry and your day gets better ❤️

@catalina i went with bumper car ride because the cliché, rollercoaster ride, didn't fit remotely. i've only ever been in one bumper car ride ever, and i can't even remember when that was — only that it was. i suppose "gone through the thresher" would be far too metaphorically violent and extreme

it was a thing which happened earlier this morning on aviansite and it really sent me into a spiral — a trigger i didn't even know i (still) had. it felt like an instant throwback to the late nineties and something i associate with that time period and with the folks who dominated during that Zeitgeist. it sucked
