@nire perhaps, tho ways of seeing interpersonal interactions have, at a macro level, changed a lot in 20–25yrs. some folks get set in that headspace and stay there for the rest of their lives. it's partly why i don't really understand a lot of the people who are from the early/mid/late ’70s. (plus, there weren't really that many of us to start with as the "baby bust")
