If you rely on a closed service provided by VC backed private companies don't be surprised when they do things anti-open.
If you make your community welcoming to racists/sexists/etc don't be surprised when you get lots of racists/sexists/etc.
it rules that ppl will constantly talk about how "Mindless Drones In North Korea Actually Believe That Kim Is A God King" while upholding the quiet implication from capitalist ideology which is "Jeff Bezos works Four Times Harder In One Minute Than An Average Man Does In One Year"

As I am waiting for my SSI appeal hearing, I am at a lack of living expenses. If you want to help a trans woman out you can either go to https://paypal.me/maritroniuity or go to https://maritronsbian.tumblr.com if you want to donate to me monthly.
Update: My grandmother is cutting us off financially and there is a good chance that I could lose internet, water, power, gas and trash pickup in a couple of months, even if I do get approved for SSI, it has to still go through a lengthy process before I get money
Reminder that while Google's allergy to AGPL might be convenient for those of us who hate Google (see http://joeyh.name/blog/entry/prove_you_are_not_an_Evil_corporate_person/)
...it is Google who has the allergy, not the AGPL. Nothing in the AGPL forbids commercial use. AGPL-licensed software can be used by anybody as long as they do the basic work to comply with the license.
Did you know: if you run an AGPL-licensed server that somebody else wrote and you *don't modify* the code, you're not obligated to share source with users.
@anthracite Especially because studies have shown that its existence actually causes more energy to be used than would be otherwise.
Daylight Savings is like the military-industrial complex. It was a useful idea once upon a time but it's hung on way past its welcome.
Oh! News on the chainmail front, by the way:
We're happy to announce that you can now get our keychains at Outsider Comics in Seattle! Having a second location is an exciting development, and we're very happy to be doing business with such an awesome vendor. If any of you Seattle folks haven't seen them, they have some pretty cool stuff - not just comics, but also geeky arts and crafts. Highly recommended!
