@sireebob @KitRedgrave @thegibson Fortress something or other? I had that on some of the machines in Jr. High. I bypassed it by using a DOS boot disk to modify the config so the DLLs wouldn’t load on bootup.

@KitRedgrave that was present on the high school computers, around 2003. Rich kids school that had WinXP and Zip drives for user storage, machines were using Deep Freeze instead of being domain joined.

@KitRedgrave my grandfather was the one who really supported my computer learning the most, we often went to the local computer show(a flea market for computer parts) that was held in the gym of the local community college every month
Built my first computer using new parts(after already working on a couple of Frankenstein machines) at age 13 using saved birthday money and his help.
