Since Mastodon is such an artistic community, what's the best way to get Photoshop legally? Is the CC/subscription model really the only/best way? Will be running on 2015 MBP i5 w/ 16GB RAM.
@muraii What do you need it for? Because for drawing/painting Clip Studio Paint is great and it's often on sale. i still come back to PS (I have cs5 tho) for some things but I do majority of my work in CSP now.
@Vulpes_Absurda @muraii I've been eyeballing a refurbished Ipad Pro since they've released that version; I just wish the owners of desktop had it free OR at least cheaper.
@Vulpes_Absurda Eh, I have similar feelings. I'm shopping around for a mobile option and I have just missed all the sales of the cheapest models of Surface Pro 4 here though. Terrible timing on my side XD
@p_the_wanderer Yeah I'm hoping to pick up a refurb for around $800 next year when the new models come out
@p_the_wanderer @Vulpes_Absurda Well now that I've gone down this road and then found I don't have the Wacom I thought I still had, I'm hunting for tablets. :|
@Vulpes_Absurda @p_the_wanderer FWIW the Huion 1060 Plus reviews very well and for the same price as the Wacom Draw gives much more room. My favorite YT review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3EI0ya8ltY
@muraii @p_the_wanderer I find that size is not as big an issue as you might think. Past a point it jus takes up more deskspace. Not saying you shouldn't get a bigger one I just wouldn't over value it and make sure to measure available space!
@p_the_wanderer If it was a one time fee I'd break my no Apple rule and buy a pro but as it stands a Surface Pro still appeals more
