i honest to god sat down and watched some of the monster rancher anime bc i am apparently obsessed & they actually did a "wacdonalds" with the name of the company that makes monster rancher, for the scenes of the anime where the protagonist played the actual video game. rather than tecmo they showed the logo as "cetmo" or something. i cant stop thinking about it because like, its the official real monster rancher anime and they couldnt list the name of the company that made the game-

3ds monster rancher could read amiibos, steam/whatever monster rancher could read other games in ur library, its the fucking dream, sorry that i cant stop talking about good videogame monster rancher

i would love a 3DS monster rancher but everyone is obsessed w the idea that the 3DS is dead so

DS was such a perfect platform for monster rancher, too. it could read the games in the GBA slot! i played the shit out of monster rancher DS, but i think i tended to use the "write a random word to generate monsters" because it was faster and i could write cuss words.

i'm not sure if i should play monster rancher 2 or 4. they're both considered The Best, 2 gets a lot o praise but i'm not sure if thats nostalgia, but also the psx emulator apparently has addon/hacks(??) specifically for making monster rancher 2 run more smoothly. so. Hm.

the tabletop setting i'm putting together is based loosely off background dungeon meshi lore & one thing i wanted to copy was the concept of a "corpse hunter", healers that go around the dungeon and collect/resurrect the recently dead (for a price), just bc its everyone's first time playing and i don't want them to get too afraid of dying that they don't have fun. anyways the point of this post is that i'm trying to design a logo/glyph that signals "i'm a necromancer, but like, Don't Worry" for corpse hunters to wear and thats fun. Snakes maybe? some kind of ominous bird with cute eyes??

its ok to miss people who you know you left for a reason and you'd never go back to. this post is aimed @ myself
