Being an artist as a teen sucked adults see u draw a guy frowning and theyre like "well the only reason this would happen is if they have depression"
@TrollDecker @oliver wait what? How did students try to sabotage exams?
@oliver @modernmodron Basically flicking bits of seeds from the fruit we were expected to draw, to distract me, and it also damaged my paper.
@oliver I drew a lot of skulls ... I'm not sure what people thought of that though lol
@oliver Yeah, I got a lot of that. Also once I had to write a poem for an assignment where they gave me words that had to be included, and I decided they seemed to fit a breakup. My mom read it and was convinced I was hiding a secret relationship from her so she started watching me all the time and going through my stuff like she was going to find love letters or something, I dunno.
For some reason my comic about a teenage superhero, which I wrote much more consistently, did not make her think I was secretly a superhero. I'm a little disappointed about that. What, am I not superhero material? :D
@oliver Gods, taking art as a GCSE option was not one of my better decisions as a teenager.
Especially when teachers were fucking useless and other students were allowed to try and sabotage your exam. 😕
