So some good news: my employer is considering making an exception to their policy (I am not salaried) to give me a small advance on my next check to help with rent.

Thank you so much to the people who gave us money yesterday, and before. That, combined with my possible advance and some help from my gf's mother, should get the rent paid.

This is really sad/scary because I've heard many times that Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. I hope everyone stays safe and it doesn't get destroyed :(
