Something I didn't understand as an undergrad student, and still don't as a librarian at the same school, is why students here have a tradition of going out and partying on Wednesday night. I mean these kids go HARD on Wednesday; my Thursday morning classes were ALWAYS full of people who were super hung-over.
Is this a thing elsewhere? I mean Wednesday is literally treated like it's Friday night, they run the drunk buses and all (which is a good thing).
@Sapphaos It's crazy. As a student there were a couple of times when I happened to be free on a Wednesday night and friends of mine pressured me into riding the drunk bus out to a party with them...
I would walk in the door to the party, immediately turn around, leave, and get back on the bus lol

@noxy I always heard of "Thirsty Thursday", because a lot of folks had no classes (or only one) on Fridays. Wednesday wasn't really a thing
@tobascodagama yeah this isn't even about the next day being light, it's always seemed to me that the students just literally can't wait a full week between blackouts
