one of my Classics profs taught me, "pronounce 'elegaic' like 'kayak'," and I've no idea if that's really correct but that's how I've done it ever since
@kara_dreamer I don't think it's correct... lol. But I've also never heard it or spoken it aloud, only read it
@kara_dreamer actually I just listened to a pronunciation video and it is pronounced two ways
1) "EL-uh-JAI-ak" (like what you mentioned)
2)"uh-LEE-gee-ACK" (what I thought)
