Thaksin Shinawatra broke his two-year silence on Twitter today to say this:

Thaksin has been living in exile since the military coup in 2006, despite being Thailand's longest-serving democratically-elected PM. His sister Yingluck, PM from 2011-2014, is assumed to have fled Thailand prior to a sentencing that she and her family believe is politically motivated.
