The university where I work (my alma mater) is Robert E Lee's final resting place. He's interred in the university chapel. I watched Laverne Cox give a talk directly in front of his dead body.
I'm really REALLY curious to see how recent events will affect this. Confederate flags and other offensive memorabilia were removed a few years ago due to student pressure, but Lee's BODY is under our statue.
There's a massive statue above it, in the back of the chapel, where Jesus would normally be.
