@AiluroFlame what i want to say is that i feel like it's a systemic or deeper problem, which one can avoid/resist to a certain degree, but at the same time i feel it's all over the place, movies, ads, music videos, retouched magazine covers, etc. the focus on the body traits is quite sickening...

@AiluroFlame yes, i would quite agree, but at the same time i don't think that problems of objectification of women and hypersexualisation of female body in patriarchal society like ours can be simplified to a simple conscious and rational decision of who you hang out with and of an ability to control objectification simply by how you dress. i think there's a lot of subconscious social conditioning happening that we struggle (or not) to overcome or resist...

@randulo @masu i don't think federated timeline has much use anymore given the amount of people and instances (451240/1287!). it's the last resort when you have looked at everything else. use local timeline or your home feed. also, filtering is done by way of blocking on instance level - some instances are not federating with other instances and some instances are whilelisting instead of blacklisting.

I just read a short discussion between a man and a woman on another instance, and just wanted to jump right in. It was about "some people whining that men objectify women". But I restrained myself and rather tried to find that Foucault meme I once saw and still find it funny. I'm just gonna leave this here. Thank you.

@Sasha i think a 'card' is a posted toot.. so a single unit on the timeline (any timeline). it consists of author, avatar pic, time of post, and little buttons on the bottom. i think that's a card.

Progress on the music for this 30min guerilla art docu film essay is still slow, but progress has been made and sonic/harmonic directions & propositionshave been approved by the artist. I'll post more soon.
