@CobaltVelvet I paid my way through college by verbally abusing people on ku-klux-pepe.town for $5/hr. It was a decent job—my father did it, and his father did it, and I never thought it would change.
Then the SJWs started blocking the instances I was active on. I couldn't pay bills any more. I had to tell my kids that we can't send them to Hitler Youth Camp this year because the Mastodon admins don't respect freedom of speech.
Instance blocking kills jobs and families—it's bad.

If you have job you go to every day with a boss that pays you money, please don't comment on creators asking for money.
You don't have to ask to be paid by your boss every day because you have an employment contract.
There's no rule that anyone has to pay for art, entertainment, or any other type of work online. Most people just take it for free. So creators need to remind people that there is no one paying us, and it's their responsibility to do it.
T:;DR people with money need to shush
remember when somebody said this free opensource community service should be monetized so it would be better?

- helping a musician friend for an installation that she has tomorrow with borrowing her my audio interface and making it work
- playing some more Beatles' Love Songs album vinyl
- working on music for that experimental art docu film essay going to Venice bienale next month!
- trying hard not to freak out at the sight of the rest of my todo list

i was able to connect ot quitter.se via internal defaults menu which contains some more popular GS instances. now, how an i add a custom GS instance and with what settings?
trying to use #twidere . anyone able to use it with mastodon and/or GNUsocial? i cannot seem to be able to add the instance with api and oauth etc... anyone have any pointers?
