I'm giving up here. I have no idea why Mastodon won't federate with my GNU Social installation and the masto server takes up too much resource for my current web hosting. I don't want to move it to AWS. I wasted enough money buying the domain. I'm certainly not spending more to host something I know doesn't actually federate correctly.
Anyway, y'all have fun here in your semi-walled gardens.
@celesteh awwww :( that's too bad. but i know how that is, after 3-4 days of strugling with some installation and there are too many issues, it just brings you too low to find motivation to continue.
