I wanna be one of the people that can do everything and make a good looking and good performing game by myself but I'm not
and I hate it
it feels like you have to be one of those people to succeed in this game dev world
I don't think about it as much as I used to but I used to think about it every single day
@MaxKriegerVG I'd argue in the vast majority of cases, people succeed working with others. Collaboration lifts us up.
I have the same urge in music: to be a one-man show. But so many projects I've done with other people have been deeply rewarding. I wouldn't underestimate the power of iron sharpening iron, of ideas bouncing off of others.
Going it alone is HARD. But it's not a cross you have to carry.
@pseudomichael @MaxKriegerVG i agree to a degree. i suck at collaborative musical projects that i have to direct. if others are in charge i seem to able to collaborate, but when i need to lead, it gets all bloody very quickly.
