does blocking a followbot make any sense?
@novadeviator i believe so. certainly, that is what i have been doing with them
@rosa can't they follow your toots despite you are blocking them?
@novadeviator my understanding is that if you are blocking them, your server does not send your toots to their server

@rosa thank you for explanation. i understand. i just thought that perhaps blocking means that i don't see their posts not vice-versa. but it loooks like blocking means blocking communication both ways?
@novadeviator your instance only sends posts to instance X if an account on X is following you. that is actually the point of follow bots - they follow as many accounts as possible to get posts from those accounts sent to their own instance. if you block them, your instance will not send your posts to theirs (unless someone else from that instance follows you, in which case the follow bot was doing nothing)
