also i plan on setting up a gitea of my all github stuff so y'all can keep boycotting github if you like… or for when they get DDoS'd. haven't decided if i wanna set it up on my droplet or raspi yet. maybe both? it might be tricky to keep synchronized but it's surely not an uncommon problem.

updated the readmes for a couple personal repos to cover new changes~
i don't imagine very many people even click on the repos since they're not really meant to be used by other people, but it feels good getting around to documenting stuff anyway, even loosely like this

one thing that irks me about duckduckgo is that it sometimes silently corrects your spelling, so it's not as easy to just find out if you got a word right

I read a little about rust and now I want to try it for my next one-off C program... well, would-be-C

I wrote an mxe package but I can't test it until gcc and ffmpeg are done rebuilding. I decided to try cross compiling with gcc 6 instead of the better supported 5, so we'll see how that goes. takes a long time on my $5 droplet, but I'm in no hurry.

lachs0r's win32 build of mpv wasn't working with youtube-dl, so i did my own~

took me long enough to realize my magnitude-smoothing function reduces to a dot product, so i could do some linear predictions to reduce computation (it's currently a million multiplies). this might be the first time i've run into a problem that's actually truly a linear system, so i know i have a lot of options but experience with almost none.
