I can't really unpack these until I get an entertainment center or similar furniture, so they were just kinda sitting everywhere

I remembered the closet in my hallway that I somehow completely forgot and filled it up with boxes so now two people could actually comfortably sit at my table etc, feels nice

my brain with sun shining on my face: hmm must be time for a good night's rest
my brain in pitch darkness: hmm must be time for a little nap

(tbf my brain is indifferent to light and my sleep schedule is just backwards)

even though they're ultimately the same game of slightly tweaking things to get lower numbers with the occasional breakthrough

I improved most of my times on the stock Distance levels. this was more meaningful and fruitful to me than the neural network stuff.

I tried some old stuff I had implemented but it didn't improve performance and blah blah blah I need to switch gears and work on something more important to me

ok, posted a comment and log file about the broken menu glitch in Distance, hoping for the best 'cause i really wanna play that custom level again lol

vim has been annoying me recently because 'hidden' keeps disabling itself somehow

played guitar for [duration] minutes this morning, felt good. i'm a lot more confident in my playing lately, but i can't skimp on practice so i'll get back to that next time.

it's really just for fun and getting a feel for techniques

today I bumped up all my *mnist classifiers up a percent in accuracy through a lot of careful tweaking. I think I'm gonna look into more regularization methods and then put it aside for a while 'cause I really don't think I can outdo convolutional networks with my toy fully connected network

i forgot to mention the number being factored: 112800

just realized i should be using a batch size of like 940 instead of 400 for emnist if i wanna compare to plain mnist. also i should start using programs to find factors 'cause i totally missed 480 and 940 being factors when i did it in my head.

and yeah in retrospect i can't explain why setting bold text would make it this darker color but i guess i just got used to it
