catalonia worked, partially, I think, because the population was so small and the threats so stark.

this would bel ess of a problem were it not for the sheer scale of current countires currently thinking about revolution.

so now you're having your revolution hinge on (because they're a majority and the starter groups are, to be honest, minorities) people who have been conditioned by capitalism for decades (the longer the conditioning is applied, the harder it is to undo) and also from both sides of the spectrum

the sexual assault resources that get passed around leftist communities about how to fix it and what is happening are from 2005. they mention events from two decades before that, and it not really changing. its 2017, and they havent really changed from 2005.

these are leftists, who often have SOME sort of feminist bent, and an understanding of power structrures. and it hasnt changed much in 40 years.
