@ikea_femme I think if anything its not that bad, because if you want to stay a thing it doesn't seem that hard, for most people. For others its gradual change, but yeah.

@ikea_femme sounds like you knew pretty young if you hid them that early.

@ikea_femme i think that some people DO know early, and others maybe would have known earlier if their parents were accepting instead of threatening, if they saw the right things that made it click in their head, etc. But I think the vast majority of people dont figure out until they're older, and many dont ever figure it out.

thats slowly changing, as information gets out to people

but also like, I've been on hormones for seven years, I've liked being... whatever gender i've been these past seven years, and I still get doubts if I'm doing the right thing.

@ikea_femme i think there are different ways to be trans, i think there are different /types/ of trans stuff, but all of them are equal in result/need

@cute_weeds but I've been around trans spaces for fifteen years, knew i was trans for seven, and still randomly tripping over gender things that make me change what i consider my gender/what i label that experience/identity/part of brain/etc so, I'm a bit more in the weeds than a lot of people, in a good way though, I think.

@cute_weeds all that said, im not really sure i buy into the idea that gender is fixed in the first place, that you cant move from one to the other, that you can't have your own, or none.

its complicated, and no matter what its still best guess for one's identity, the one that hurts the least, the one that makes the most sense even if ti doesnt completely make sense
